The election to the student council 2014-15 was held on 14/06/14.
Akash A of 10th D was elected as President, Shane Carnel Sequeira of 10th E as vice president and Calvin Joseph D’Souza of 10th E2 as Secretary.
Rev.Fr. Edward Rodrigues SJ, the Headmaster of St. Aloysius High School was the chief election commissioner, Mr. Francis Marcarenhas, the Returning Officer, along with Mr. Gpalkrishna Bhat asst. H.M. and other teachers as Polling Officers.
Nominations were filed and campaign took place for two weeks. The Candidates presented their manifestoes and their supporters spoke on behalf of them. On the actual day of the polling the ballot voting took place.
The pre- poll and exit poll was conducted. Counting was carried out in three stages of std 8th, 9th and 10th respectively. All in all the students went through an experience of real value based voting system of the Nation in a democratic set up.
