The feast of St Ignatius of Loyola was celebrated in St. Aloysius High School. Novena prayers were held in the chapel prior to the feast. On 7th of August High School students gathered in the hall for small cultural program. God’s blessings was invoked through a prayer song lead by the school choir. Headmaster Rev. Fr Johnson Pinto S.J., Assistant Headmaster Mr Lancy Dsouza were escorted to the Dais by Master Ashith Sudesh SPL, Miss Manvitha K Assistant SPL and Master Aarol Sequeira, Secretary of the school.
The winners of the quiz competition on the life of St Ignatius of Loyola and Jesuits were awarded with prizes. Headmaster addressing the gathering highlighted briefly the life of St Ignatius Loyola. He advised the student to face failures, challenges boldly in our life to achieve success. Strive hard in everything we do, he added. A drama ‘Saintly Night’ depicting the life of St Ignatius Loyola was enacted by our students. A wonderful Bollywood dance was performed as a part of entertainment programme. Assistant headmaster wished all the students a happy feast of St Ignatius of Loyola. He addressed the students to follow the value of Sacrifice, Courage, honest of St Ignatius of Loyola in their lives.
The entire programme was anchored by Miss Semoan and Master Aiman Khan, the Gavel club members, Mrs. Felcy Pinto Co-ordinated the program. Master Deon welcomed the gathering, Master Shannon Pinto expressed words of gratitude to everyone who worked for the success of the programme. The Programme ended with National Anthem and distribution of sweets.
