Inauguration of solar power
With a love to Alma mater the batch 1974, St Aloysius High school donated ₹14.5 lakh ‘solar project’, installed on the roof top of High school.
The inauguration and blessing of solar plant was held on 7th November 2020 at 10.30A.M Programme began with a prayer song lead by Mrs. Diana & group. Fr. Melwin Pinto S.J., Rector invoked God’s blessings and blessed the Installation.
There after a small programme was conducted in the school auditorium. Fr Jerald Furtado S.J., the Headmaster welcomed the gathering and gave a brief history on how the project came about and thanked the alumni for their generosity.
Mr. Clarence Pereira, representing the class of 1974 batch explained how the class group was formed in a January 2019, which then led to reunion of 3 days in December 2019
Mr. Jeethen Castelino of the managing director of Nlite (enlighten lives) was awarded the project of ₹ 14.50 Lakhs to put up the solar plant of 30kw with the surplus of ₹2 Lakhs, the batch decided to set up a scholarship fund for the needy & meritorious students Mr. Clarence Pereira, Mr. Sadashiva Nayak and Mr. Jeethen Castelino were honoured for their efforts.
The Rector thanked the batch for their generous donation and said it would be a great legacy. He further said “It should be noted that Alumni play an important role in the growth of their Alma mater through their love and support. A video of the project was presented by Mrs. Linet and Mrs. Sunitha faculty of school, followed by a video of the class of 1974 in thanks giving.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Mr. Gopalakrishna S. the asst. headmaster. The programme was meticulously and professionally compared by Mr. Lancy D’souza teacher St.Aloysius High School
