The annual general body meeting of the PTA was held on 13th August 2024 in the high school hall at 4pm. The PTA Executive Committee members invoked God’s blessings through a prayer song. Mr Sunil Lobo, the PTA Secretary presented the annual report and statement of accounts of the year 2023-24. He also presented the budget for the year 2024-25. Both were passed in AGM.
The Chief Guests Rev. Fr Melwin Pinto S.J., Rector of our Institutions, Rev. Fr Johnson Pinto S.J. Headmaster and PTA President, Mr. Lancy D’souza the Assistant Headmaster, Mr. Camil Rebello the retired teacher, Mrs Monica w/o Mr. Camil Rebello, Mr. Santhosh Kumar PTA Vice-President were escorted to the dais by PTA Secretary, Mr. Sunil Lobo.
Retired staff member Mr. Camil Rebello, was felicitated by PTA executive members. Replying to the felicitation Sir shared his experiences serving in this prestigious institution and reminiscences to the gathering.
Mr. Sunil Lobo announced the names of the new Executive Committee members and the Headmaster announced the name of the new PTA Vice-President Mr. Cliffered Rodrigues. Mr. Santhosh Kumar the outgoing Vice-president was felicitated by dignitaries on the dais. It was carried out by Mr. Krishna Shetty. Replying to the felicitation Mr. Santhosh Kumar expressed gratitude to Headmaster, teachers and P.T.A. members for their support and co-operation. Outgoing PTA Executive members were honoured by the Headmaster.
Top scorers in the SSLC examination 2023-24 were honoured. Top scorer Miss Cimantha Crizzle Tauro and Master Thushar K shared their experience in the school. Addressing the gathering Headmaster requested parents to take part in school activities. Parents advise would help the school to function well, he added. He also told the parents to encourage children to take part in every curricular and co-curricular activity so that they can develop skills for their all-round development and for the progress of school and society.
Rector Rev. Fr. Melwin Pinto S.J. in his message urged parents to advise their children to read books to gain additional knowledge. Allow children’s personality to grow in school by allowing them to take part in various activities of the school, he added.
The entire programme was anchored by Mrs. Jasmin, Mr.Santhosh welcomed the gathering. Vote of thanks was given by Mr. Cliffered Rodrigues. The Progaramme ended with a National Anthem.
