Feast of St. Aloysius Gonzaga and all clubs Inauguration
The feast of St. Aloysius Gonzaga, the patron saint of St. Aloysius institutions on 21st June 2019 was celebrated on 22nd June 2019 in the high school hall. Novena Prayers were conducted in the chapel for Catholic students prior to the Feast and Eucharistic celebration on 20th of June. Rev. Fr. Larry was the main celebrant for the mass.
All the students gathered in the hall for cultural programme. God’s presence was invoked through a prayer song led by school choir under the guidance of Mrs. Renny Vas. A very beautiful welcome dance was performed by our students to welcome the gathering with the assistance of Mrs. Shalma Saldanha & Mrs. Jovita D’Souza. Headmaster Rev. Fr. Gerald Furtado S.J., Assistant Headmaster Mr. Gopalkrishna S. and Mr. Camil Rebello, the co-ordinator of the clubs inaugurated all clubs symbolically by lighting up the lamp followed by wonderful presentation highlighting the importance of clubs. The dignitaries were escorted to the dias by Master Zain Mohammed, school pupil leader of our school. Mr. Donald Saldanha welcomed the gathering.
The Headmaster carried out the investiture ceremony for the newly elected cabinet members and the council members. The winners of the poster competition of St. Aloysius Gonzaga were rewarded with prizes. Addressing the gathering Headmaster brief cased the life of St. Aloysius Gonzaga. He advised the students to take St. Aloysius Gonzaga as their role model and to be inspired by his great value of sacrifice.
The Headmaster thanked all the staff members for the perfection of the programme and the council members for their great work. He wished the council members all the best for their future endeavors and asked them to be a great example for others as good leaders for the development of school. ‘AIKAY’ a social drama relating to the life of St. Aloysius Gonzaga was enacted by our students under the guidance of Mrs. Felcy Pinto, Mr. Praveen Monteiro and Mrs. Bharathi. Zain Mohammed proposed vote of thanks. All clubs presentation was prepared By Mrs. Linet Mathias and Mrs Sunitha Pais. The entire programme was anchored by Master Abhishek of 10th D std and Miss Shaina D’Souza of std 9th E2 under the guidance of Mr. Lancy D’Souza.
Mr. Francis Mascarenhas was the co-ordinator of the programme. The beautiful backdrop was set up by Mr. Johnchandran. Refreshment was served to everyone at the end of the programme.
