The teacher’s day celebration was held on 6th September 2016 in the high school hall. There was a beautiful cultural programme put up by our students with the assistance of council leaders. There were many games organized by students for the teachers.
In the evening there was a wonderful programme organised by the PTA members of our school, under the leadership of Mr. Rithesh Baliga, the PTA Vice President. The programme was presided over by Rev. Fr. Dionysius Vas SJ. the Rector of our school, Mr. Gopal Krishna S., the Headmaster, Rev. Fr. Christopher SJ., the assistant Headmaster, Mr. Rithesh Baliga, the PTA Vice- President and Mr. Lancy D’Souza, the PTA Secretary.
The programme began by invoking God’s blessings through a prayer song lead by PTA members. Mr. Rithesh Baliga welcomed the gathering. Rector Rev. Fr. Dionysius Vas SJ. spoke on the importance of Teachers day. He said “Teaching is a vocation and not a profession. Teacher is the one who takes the hand, opens the mind and touches the heart”.
PTA members entertained the teaching, non-teaching and retired teachers of our school with a memorable, cultural programme and games. Mr. Lancy D’Souza thanked the PTA members for their support and selfless services towards the school. The entire programmed was anchored by Mr. Vincent D’Souza the PTA member.
