St Aloysius Gonzaga Feast
The feast of St. Aloysius Gonzaga, the patron saint of St. Aloysius institutions was celebrated on 21st June 2016 in the high school hall.
Novena Prayers were conducted in the chapel for Catholic students prior to the Feast and mass on 21st of June. Rev. Fr. Denzil Lobo S.J. was main celebrant for the mass and in the homily insisted the students to have mission in life and to reach out to the people by taking St. Aloysius Gonzaga as their role model and also asked them to be the salt and light of the world.
All the students gathered in the hall for the cultural programme. The programme began with a melodious prayer song led by the school choir, under the guidance of Mrs. Renny Vas.
Rev. Fr. Edward Rodrigues S.J, the headmaster of the school presided over the programme. Mr. Jeevan Saldanha, the chairman of ‘ Spectrum Industry’ was the chief guest of the programme. Mrs. Linet Mathais, the teacher of our school introduced the chief guest. Master Roopith , school people leader welcomed the gathering.
The short documentary on the life of St. Aloysius Gonzaga was presented by Rev. Fr. Xavier Christopher S.J. The Headmaster carried out the Oath taking ceremony for the newly elected cabinet members along with the council members. Prizes were distributed to the winners of the poster competition of St. Aloysius Gonzaga.
The chief guest, an alumnus of the school, addressed the gathering by saying that we must strive constantly to mould and to improve our personality dignity and integrity.
‘Arpane’, a skit on the life of St. Aloysius Gonzaga was enacted by the students under the guidance of Mr. Norbert Miranda, the Maths teacher of our school. It was followed by some enterainment programme.
The Headmaster in his message he motivated the students to get inspired by St. Aloysius Gonzaga by following the values of our Patron. Mr. Santhosh, the computer teacher of our school Co-ordinated the proramme. Nihal Rego, ASPL of the school, proposed vote of thanks. Entire programme was anchored by Master Prasad and Master Swastik of std 10. Programmed was winded up with the refreshment given my Master Gautham Rao and Master Roopith D’Souza.
