623 students elected Master AshithSudeshas the SPL, Kum. Manvitha K. Shetty as the ASPL and Master ArolSequeiraas the Secretary to the students’council for the year 2024–2025.

RESULTS:
Our students achieved 99.5% overall results in the April 2024 S.S.L.C. examination. CimanthaCrizzelTauroof English Medium toppedwith 619 marks, 99.04% and SrikanthManjunath of Kannada Medium topped with 477 marks, 76.32%. We appreciate the sincere efforts of the students, the hard work of our teachers and the constant support of the parents and the management.
THE STAFF:
Rev Fr Gerald Furtado S.J.who served as theHeadmaster of our school has been transferred to Loyola High School, Bannergatta, Bangalore on 5th July 2024.
Rev Fr Johnson Pinto S.J.has been transferred from Loyola Composite P.U. College, Mundgod on 6th July 2024 as our new Headmaster.

He was the resource person for DK. District level Training for the second language Kannada teachers held at DIET Mangalore.
- MrsFelcy Pinto participated in the South Zone Triennial -2024, Jesuit Educators Meet on 14th and 15th of September 2024. Her collection of Konkani poems ‘PalvaPonth’ was released in the year 2024.
- MrsShalmaSaldanha and Mrs Diana Goveas attended JESCOL 2, atAshirvad Bangalore from 4th to 6th November 2024.

N.C.C. Air Wing
- 23 cadets completed the Annual training camp (ATC) at Alva’s P. U. College, Moodabidri. Our school won the overall championship with best Contingent in Drill and 1st in Group Dance and 2nd in instrumental music competition.Flight Sergeant Chinmayi C. S. received the 1st place in Best Cadet category and Cadet Sergeant AnanyaMagishettarbagged the 1st place in Individual written test. Corporal OshinMoras and Corporal Johan Asher got 2nd place in instrumental music competition.
- Flight sergeant Chinmayi C. S. and CadetSergentAnanyaMagisthettar attended the IGC camps. Flight sergeant Chinmayi C. S. bagged the 1st place as the Best Cadet in Karnataka andGoa Directorate.
- PuneetSagarAbhiyan, tree plantation program, beach cleaning, drawing competition, Yoga programs and Cycle Rally are the prominent programs held in N.C.C. March Past and Silent drill were performed during the Sports Day.
- N.C.C Air Wing Troop is guided by Associate N.C.C Officer MrSunil Lobo.
N.C.C. Navy
38 cadets attended the Annual Training camp, conducted by 6 Kar Naval Unit NCC Udupi at JNV, Chara School, Udupiin the month of October. On account of NCC day Cycle Rally was conducted.Total 100 cadets were enrolled for the academic year 2024 – 25. NCC Naval troop is guided by Br. Praveen D’Souza.
‘LOYOLA’ Scouts
It is guided by Scout Master Mr Praveen D. Monteiro. 11 scouts along with the Scout Master attended Road Safety Week program organised by Mangalore city police and B.S.GDakshina Kannada. Master RaynerCrasta attended TritiyaSopan exam held at District Training Centre Pilikula Mangalore.
‘JESUITS’ ScienceAcademy
The experiments, discussions, quiz and demonstrations are done using models. Science model competitionwas conducted to the students on account of feast of St Aloysius Gonzaga. The students participated in various inter school competitions, prepared models for the INSPIRE Award and attended various programmes organized by the Education Department.Roydon, Athmika, Sharon, Alston and Arol won the 1st place in Science Skit competition held at Sharada PU College. They are constantly guided by MsNathashaDSouza and MrsLavinaMonteiro.
‘T.P.KAILASAM’ Dramatic Association
Under the guidance of MrsBharathi N.K., students are encouraged to write and direct plays and skits that could be staged on different occasions. ‘The Saint Knight’ was written and directed by RoydonMisquith of class 10 on the occasion of the feast of St Ignatius of Loyola. In Mimicry Basavaraj won 2nd place in Cluster level and 3rd place in Taluk level PrathibhaKaranji.
‘SEDIYAPU KRISHNA BHAT’ KannadaSahityaSangha
Under the guidance of Mr. Praveen D. Monteiroclub conducted various school level competitions like extempore, handwriting, drawing and essaywritingand students actively participated in it. Themembers of the club compered the Kannada Rajyotsava and other school programs in Kannada language.
‘BERCHMANS’ CLC& Altar Boys Club
Discussions and Quiz on life of different saints and patrons of different parish was done.The members serve as Altar Boys at the Holy Eucharist Mass celebrated during the weekdays, novena days and the feast days. They are motivated by MsNathashaDSouza.
‘MID TOWN’ Interact Club
Interact installation ceremony was held in the month of July under the guidance of Rotary Midtown Mangalore.Club members are guided by Mr Praveen Cutinha.
‘NEHRU’ Philatelic Club
45 students of this club participated in the DeenDayalSparshYojana, a Philately Scholarship exam and are waiting for their results. The Indian Postal Department conducted pick and speak competition, of which Ananya bagged 1st place and Olga Pinto baaged 3rd place. 57 students participated in the DHAI AKHAR National level letter writing competition.MrsSonal Lobo promotes and motivates the students about philately knowledge.
‘ANTONIO’S’ Art Club
Students actively participated in Moscheni Art Fest 2024 where more than 60 artworks created by students were exhibited and won many prizes. Art club organized Drawing competitions on the feast of St Aloysius Gonzaga and Independence Day celebrations.Students created a huge Pookalam on the occasion of Onam festival and won everyone’s appreciation.

Shwetha and Drithi secured the1stplace in Rangoli competition, Drithi and Delisha gotthe1st place in collage competition organized by SharadaVidyalaya.

‘ALOYSIAN’ L.T.S. (Leadership Training Service)
During regular meeting club members are involved in activities like debate, extempore, group discussion etc. Various topics are discussed to boost the soft skills of the students. Throughout the year Cabinet members take the responsibility to maintain discipline and cleanliness of the school. An outlook on leadership is brought about by MrsFelcyPinto and MrsSunithaPais.
‘PANDURANGA PAI’ Eco Club
The club has celebrated “Environment Day” in the school. A tree plantation drive was organized as a part of VanaMahotsava.Collage-making competition was conducted on the theme “Our Land, Our Future”.Cleanliness drive and cleaning of pots was conducted in the school campus. Students were taken to the biotechnology and zoology labof St Aloysius College,visitedAlvana,participated in eco expo exhibition held at St Aloysius P. U. College. Fostering a deeper connection with nature a bird- watching program was conducted at our campus. Club members are guided by Mrs Edna Mascarenhas.
‘IGNATIAN’ Gavel Club
All programs of the school are hosted by the members of Gavel club. SherlynMascarenhas won 2ndplace in the elocutionat Padua PU College and essay writing district level competition organized by Karnataka Science Academy. Initha and Khushi bagged 2ndplace in essay writing at Sharada PU College. In the Pre Unique organized by St Aloysius PU college Ayman Khan won 2ndplace in Hindi Memory game and Stand-up comedy. AdshaDsouzabagged 3rd place in twist a tale. Theclub is guided by MrsJovitaDSouza.
‘GONZAGA’ Consumer Club
Basic Information about Consumer Protection Act, MRP,hallmark, adulterant added in the foods, about perishable and non-perishable foods were explained. Quiz was conducted and food adulteration experiment was done during meetings.Miss Ivy Anjali DSouza co-ordinates the club.
‘ETHEL PRABHU’ Quiz Club
The club is functioning under the guidance of MrsKris Evert DSouza and Mrs Edna Mascarenhas. MohdFaheezSheeyan and Arwin Neil Dsouza won the 1st place in quiz held at Padua P. U college. Students participated in various inter school competitions.
‘STEVE JOBS’ I.T Club
Coding, video editing and animation are regularly demonstrated.MrPratheekRamesh, Lecturer of Computer Science at St Aloysius College Deemed to be University conducted a session on “Careers in Animation and IT”. KoushikBhat and Muhammad Hashir bagged 2ndplace in the web designingorganized by Sharada P. U. College. ArmanShaik was the finalist in IT Champion organized by Canara PU College.
Creative minds of MrsSunithaPais and MrsLinet Mathias, the animators have picturizedtoday’sAnnual Report with videos and clippings and the gifted studentsPrithviSuvarna, ArolSequeira, ArmanShaikand Snithikhave assisted them.
‘MELODY’ Choir CLUB
Melody choir club has been instrumental in setting a spiritual note with apt interactions and prayerful hymns for all school programs. The Club functions under the guidance of MrsRennyVas and MrsMeghanaGalagali.
The club won 1stplace in group singing organized by Padua P.U. College. AyushPremand SherylnMascarenhas bagged 1stplace in duet singing competition ‘Agnathan 2024’ at St Agnes P.U. College.
AyushPrem is the special achiever in singing.
‘ST ALOYSIUS’ College Band
The members of the club displayed band performanceat various school functions and events. Their performance for Mass PT and Mass drill was captivating. The band club is led by bandmasterMr Vijay Olivera.Theclubis co-ordinated by Mr Praveen D. Monteiro
‘BEATS N STEPS’ Dance Club
The members of the dance club have added vibrancy to various school events like Gonzaga feast, Loyola feast Teachers’ Day programs.Theboys of theclub secured 1st placein filmy dance conducted by Padua P.U.College. The members of the club secured 2ndplace in ChinnaraChilipili, conducted by Rotary Mangalore.The club is co-ordinated by MrsShalmaSaldanha and MrsKris Evert DSouza
‘ANGELO MAFFAI’ Konkani Club
Encourages students to develop their reading and creative writing skills.The club has organized a multi lingual poetry session for the students. This Club is co-ordinated by MrsFelcyPinto.
‘KAIRANNA’ Health Club
Health training sessions are held for the members. Mr Noel Menezesco-ordinates the club.
Electrol Literacy Club (ELC)
As per the order from the department, the ELC club has been started in our school from the present academic year with the school cabinet leaders being enrolled as its members. MrsBharathi N.K. is the co-ordinator of the ELC, under whose guidance various competitionsare held as per the circular from the department.
This academic year quiz, essay and poster making competitions were conducted at the school level and the selected students participated in the Taluk level. Our quiz team MohdFaheez
Sheeyan and Dhruva Y. Shettybagged the first prize and qualified for the district level. The club aims at ‘Spreading awareness regarding the importance of voting’.
Guitar & Keyboard
The music teacher Mr Vijay Moras guides our students in the learning of instruments like Guitar & Keyboard along with musical notations.
Our students excelled in various co-curricular activities and won the Overall Championship at‘Sparkle’ inter school competition organized by Padua P.U. College and first runner up at “Sharada ACADEXPO 2024” organized by Sharada P.U. College.

1.Master Grahith G. Prabhu of class 10D
His achievements in the year 2024 were :
- 5 Gold and individual champion in District Level.
- 1 Gold, 1 Bronze and 1 Bronze in Medley Relay held at Basavanagudi, Bangalore and selected for the Nationals. Nationals were held at Rajkot in the month of November.
- He also won 1 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals at the State Underwater Fins competition in Puttur, which was organized by Under Water Swimming Federation of India and selected for Nationals.
- Due to his hard work and dedication he had been selected to the national level for the 5th time, where he won a silver medal in the National Underwater Fins competition which was held in the month of November 2024 in Delhi.
2.Master Yashraj of class 10E
Yashraj’sAchievements in this year:
- 5 Gold and individual champion in District Level.
- 1 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze in State Level and has been selected for National Level for the 2nd time. NATIONALS were HELD AT GUJARAT (Rajkot) in the month of November 2024.
- Master Naithik N. of class 9D
Naitik’s achievement in this year
- He got3 gold, 1 silver in District level.
- 1 silver in individual medley event and 2 bronze in 50 mtr breaststroke and 200 mtrbutterfly held at Basavanagudi Bangalore and got selected for Nationals.
- Naithik was qualified for nationals in Rajkot for – 200mts individual medley.
- In 50mtr butterfly Got 3rd place at state level – which was conducted by Karnataka Swimming Association, Bangalore, and selected for the South Zone Nationals.
- He also got 1 gold in 50mtr butterfly at SOUTH ZONE NATIONALS held at Mandya.
- 2 gold& 2 silver in State level fins swimming held at Puttur and was selected for FINS SWIMMING NATIONALS held at Delhi and bagged 1 silver in Karnataka’s 4*100mtr relay team .
- 1 gold in 50mtr butterfly state level held at Bangalore and was selected for SOUTH ZONE NATIONALS which will be held on 26th of December 2024 at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. This is the 3thtime,this year, Naithik has been selected for Nationals

5 Avinash Francis Dsouza of class 8E2
In this academic year he is the winner in Taluk, District, division level and state level tournaments and is selected to Nationals. He participated in 68th National School Games Badminton tournament that is held at Delhi from December 9th to 15th .
6 Master Ayush Prem of class 9E2
Ayush’s Achievements in this year were:
- First Prize in National Level Singing Competition conducted by Miracle Voice of India.
- Winner of SwaraKudlaseason 6, an inter district music competetionconducted by KaravaliSangeethaKalavidaraOkkuta,Udupi and Dakshinakannada district.
- Winner of Inter district Patriotic Song Competition conducted by V4 Media24x7 Mangalore. In the year 2022 he was also the winner in the same competition.

7 Miss Sameeksha S. Acharya of class 10D
She has been the winner of the “BelakinaHabbaDeepavali” Taluk-level drawing competition for the past three years, showcasing her exceptional artistic talent and consistent achievement.
In this year :
- She bagged first place in cluster level and third place in Taluk level PrathibhaKaranji drawing competition. Winner of face painting competition organised by St Agnes College and SharadaVidyalaya.
- She bagged first place in radio Sarang 107.8 FM Mangaluru and RamaKrishna mission drawing competition.
- She Bagged second place in drawing competitions conducted by
“Shree Krishna maya” district level competition conducted by Shakthi P. U. College., “Varnanjali” District level competition by SevanjaliPrathishtana, “Aatvarshka Harsh” by Mangaluru City Corporation, drawing competition held by Indian medical Association on account of “National Girl child day”. “ChinnaraChilipli” conducted by Rotary club and RastriyaMakkalaUtsava by KalkuraPrathishtana.

8 Miss Chinmayi of class 9E
In this academic year –
- Flight Sergeant Chinmayi C. S. received the 1st place in Best Cadet category in the ATC camp held at Alva’s College , Moodubidre in the month of June. She was the Troop commander for the troop no. 56.
- She also attended the PRE IGC 1 at Shimoga, PRE IGC 2 at Suliyaand PRE IGC 3 at Udupi.
- Shealso bagged the 1stplace as the Best Cadet in Karnataka and Goa Directorate in the intergroup competition in the IGC camp held in Ballariwhere she was the Gold medallist and was selected for the PRE RDC – 1 camp.
- In the PRE RDC -1 camp which was held at Airforce Station Jalahalliin the month of November ,she secured 3rd position.
UNIQUE PROGRAMMES
- Orientation programme for class 8, 9 and 10 was conducted by Br. Praveen DSouza, counselor of our school.
- The Investiture ceremony forming a new ‘student cabinet’ was carried out.
- Dr VidyaVinuthaDsouza, an Assistant professor of Social work at St Aloysius College Deemed to be University, Mangalore took a session on the importance,meaning and implication of ‘POCSO’ act
- To recognize the hardwork and dedication of our retired staff MrCamilRebello, afarewell programme was organized by the students and staff.
- To Maintain overall health of the students a session on ‘importance of Oral Hygiene Maintenance’ and session on Drug Abuse Prevention program was conducted by DrAmarshreeA.Shetty, chairperson NSPECC and student welfare dean of A. B. ShettyDental Sciences. They also conducted dental check-up of all the students.
- Annual General Body of the PTA was held and Top scorers of the SSLC examination 2023-24 were honoured.
- An intra-school ‘PrathibhaKalotsava’ was held to our students to exhibit their talents in various aspects like – Fancy Dress, Bhartanatyam, Gazal, Folk song, Mimicry, Bhavadgeethe, Arabic Patana and Elocution.
- The Teachers’ Day was celebratedby the students and the PTA.
- To acquaint ourselves with the culture and customs of North Karnataka our school had organised SNEHA-MILANA,a twinning program with the Loyola School,Mundgod.
- With a dream of creating awareness about the different Career opportunities a Career Guidance programme was conducted for 10thstdstudentsby the Lions club of Kadri. Prof Ronald Pinto was the resource person.
- On account of Deepavali festival, Gududeepa Competition and cultural programmewas held in collaboration with PTA.
- On the occasion of children’s day the staff decided to enthrall the children with a stage programme. Apart from dance, song and music, a cricket match and throwball match was organized.
- Dr Christopher DSouza, Alumnus, Proprietor of S Nuts, Mangalore/Udupi, was the Chief Guest on the Sports Day for the inaugural ceremony and MrSimon C.A., Superintendent of Police was the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony. The students exhibited their skills in athletics, Mass Drill and March Past.

Parents, work together as equals towards a common objective of enhancing not only the child’slearning, development and well-being but also are the pillars and strength of the school. Under theleadership of MrClifford Rodrigues, the Vice president and the executive members celebrated Teacher’sDay with games, entertainment and a sumptuous dinner.Their presence and constant support on Sports day and School day is endearing and steadfast.
