The feast of St Ignatius Loyola, Founder of the Society of Jesus, was celebrated on July 31st 2025 at the auditorium of St. Aloysius High School, Kodialbail. The Catholic students first participated in the Holy Mass. Rev. Fr. Jason Pinto, S.D.B. was the chief guest.
In his message, he addressed the students and called upon them to adopt the ideals of the saint, such as leadership, courage, perseverance and service, in their lives. The alumni of the school, who were in the class of 1974, participated in the program, adding a new dimension to the program. Alumni Captain Joseph Rego was present on the stage and distributed scholarships to the students. Prizes were distributed to the winners of the competitions held for all classes such as quiz, poetry recitation, speech, dance, mimicry, painting, singing, rangoli, etc.
Delivering the festive message, the school Headmaster, Rev. Fr. Johnson Pinto S. J., said that the ideals of St Ignatius of Loyola is a model for the students, and that they should follow these to become citizens who do not lose hope in life and to succeed in life. A drama ‘Thiruv’ depicting the life of St Ignatius of Loyola was enacted by the Students a Wonderful ‘Bollywood’ dance was performed as the part of cultural programme.
The school Assistant Headmaster, Mr. Lancy D’Souza, was present. Teachers, Mr. John Chandran, Brother Praveen D’Souza, Mr. Praveen Monteiro, Mrs. Chris Evert D’Souza, Mrs. Sonal Lobo, Ms. Ashika, Mrs. Reshma Mohan, Mrs. Jovita D’Souza, Mrs. Shalma Saldana, Mrs. Bharati N. K, Mr. Manoj cooperated.
Student Prinston welcomed the gathering. Karthika and Prince Compered the programme. Student leaders Samhith Raj, Chinmayi and Armaan were present. Sarah Pinto proposed the vote of thanks.
