FrMelwin Pinto S.J, Rector, St. Aloysius Institutions, who is presiding over today\u2019s function, well-wishers of this Institution, our proud parents, respected members of the teaching and non-teaching fraternity , ladies and gentlemen, media persons and my dear students, it is my proud privilege to present the 144<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp; Annual Report of this historic educational Institution.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 623 students elected Master AshithSudeshas the SPL, Kum. Manvitha K. Shetty&nbsp; as the ASPL and Master ArolSequeiraas the Secretary to the students\u2019council for the year 2024\u20132025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>RESULTS:<\/u><\/strong><strong><u><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our students achieved 99.5% overall results in the April 2024 S.S.L.C. examination.&nbsp; <strong>CimanthaCrizzelTauro<\/strong>of English Medium&nbsp;toppedwith 619 marks, 99.04% and SrikanthManjunath&nbsp;of Kannada Medium topped with 477 marks, 76.32%.&nbsp;&nbsp; We appreciate the sincere efforts of the students, the hard work of our teachers and the constant support of the parents and the management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>THE STAFF:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rev Fr Gerald Furtado S.J.<\/strong>who served as theHeadmaster of our school has been transferred to Loyola High School, Bannergatta, Bangalore on 5<sup>th<\/sup> July 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rev Fr Johnson Pinto S.J.<\/strong>has been transferred from Loyola Composite P.U. Monteiro<\/strong>attended training program organized by the S.S.L.C. Exam board Bangalore in DIET Mysore for preparing the second language Kannada Board Model question paper.\u00a0 He was the resource person for DK. District level Training for the second language Kannada teachers held at DIET Mangalore.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>MrsFelcy Pinto <\/strong>participated in the South Zone Triennial -2024, Jesuit Educators Meet on 14<sup>th<\/sup> and 15<sup>th<\/sup> of September 2024.\u00a0 Her collection of Konkani poems \u2018PalvaPonth\u2019 was released in the year 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>MrsShalmaSaldanha and Mrs Diana Goveas<\/strong> attended JESCOL 2, atAshirvad Bangalore from 4<sup>th<\/sup> to 6<sup>th<\/sup> November 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>SPORTS &amp; GAMES<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Our students not only excel academically, but also in the field of Sports &amp; Games.&nbsp; We at St Aloysius believe in the all-round developmentof personality.&nbsp; Along with fitness of the mind, fitness of the body is also given due importance.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Mr Noel Menezes is the guiding force behind the individual and team achievements of our students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Badminton<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Under 17<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AyushVandan, Hayden Noronha,&nbsp; MohammedAthif, Adithya V. Shetty&amp;TrifsshaShettyDistrict winner and State Level participant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>CLUBS :<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MrsLinetMathias is the co-ordinator of all clubs.&nbsp; She is responsible for overseeing all club events, ensuring they run smoothly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>N.C.C. Air Wing<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>23 cadets completed the Annual training camp (ATC) at Alva\u2019s P. U. College, Moodabidri.\u00a0 Our school won the overall championship with best Contingent in Drill and 1<sup>st<\/sup> in Group Dance and 2<sup>nd<\/sup> in instrumental music competition.Flight Sergeant Chinmayi C. S. received the 1<sup>st<\/sup> place in\u00a0 Best Cadet category and Cadet Sergeant AnanyaMagishettarbagged the\u00a0 1<sup>st<\/sup> place in Individual written test.\u00a0\u00a0 Corporal OshinMoras and Corporal Johan Asher got 2<sup>nd<\/sup> place in instrumental music competition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flight sergeant Chinmayi C. S. and CadetSergentAnanyaMagisthettar attended the IGC camps.\u00a0 Flight sergeant Chinmayi C. S. bagged the 1<sup>st<\/sup> place as the Best Cadet in Karnataka andGoa Directorate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PuneetSagarAbhiyan, tree plantation program, beach cleaning, drawing competition, Yoga programs and Cycle Rally are the prominent programs held in N.C.C. March Past and Silent drill were performed during the Sports Day.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>N.C.C Air Wing Troop is guided by Associate N.C.C Officer MrSunil Lobo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>N.C.C. Navy<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>38 cadets attended the Annual Training camp, conducted by 6 Kar Naval Unit NCC Udupi at JNV, Chara School,&nbsp; Udupiin the month of October.&nbsp; On account of NCC day Cycle Rally was conducted.Total 100 cadets were enrolled for the academic year 2024 \u2013 25.&nbsp;&nbsp; NCC Naval troop is guided by&nbsp; Br. Praveen D&#8217;Souza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>\u2018LOYOLA\u2019 Scouts<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is guided by Scout Master Mr Praveen D. Monteiro. 11 scouts along with the Scout Master attended Road Safety Week program organised by Mangalore city police and B.S.GDakshina Kannada. Master RaynerCrasta attended TritiyaSopan exam held at District Training Centre Pilikula Mangalore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>\u2018JESUITS\u2019 ScienceAcademy<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The experiments, discussions, quiz and demonstrations are done using models.&nbsp; Science model competitionwas conducted to the students on account of feast of St Aloysius Gonzaga.&nbsp; The students participated in various inter school competitions, prepared models for the INSPIRE Award and attended various programmes organized by the Education Department.Roydon, Athmika, Sharon, Alston and Arol won the 1<sup>st<\/sup> place in Science Skit competition held at Sharada PU College.&nbsp; They are constantly guided by MsNathashaDSouza and MrsLavinaMonteiro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>\u2018T.P.KAILASAM\u2019 Dramatic Association<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the guidance of MrsBharathi N.K., students are encouraged to write and direct plays and skits that could be staged on different occasions.&nbsp; \u2018The Saint Knight\u2019 was written and directed by RoydonMisquith of class 10 on the occasion of the feast of St Ignatius of Loyola.&nbsp; In Mimicry Basavaraj won 2<sup>nd<\/sup> place in Cluster level and 3<sup>rd<\/sup> place in Taluk level PrathibhaKaranji.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>\u2018SEDIYAPU KRISHNA BHAT\u2019&nbsp; KannadaSahityaSangha<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the guidance of Mr. Praveen D. Monteiroclub conducted various school level competitions like extempore, handwriting, drawing and essaywritingand students actively participated in it.&nbsp; Themembers of the club compered the Kannada Rajyotsava and other school programs in Kannada language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2018<u>BERCHMANS\u2019 CLC&amp; Altar Boys Club<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Discussions and Quiz on life of different saints and patrons of different parish was done.The members serve as Altar Boys at the Holy Eucharist Mass celebrated during the weekdays, novena days and the feast days.&nbsp;&nbsp; They are motivated by MsNathashaDSouza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>\u2018MID TOWN\u2019 Interact Club<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interact installation ceremony was held in the month of July under the guidance of Rotary Midtown Mangalore.Club members are guided by Mr Praveen Cutinha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>\u2018NEHRU\u2019 Philatelic Club<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>45 students of this club participated in the DeenDayalSparshYojana, a Philately Scholarship exam and are waiting for their results.&nbsp; The Indian Postal Department conducted pick and speak competition, of which Ananya bagged 1<sup>st<\/sup> place and Olga Pinto baaged 3<sup>rd<\/sup> place.&nbsp; 57 students participated in the DHAI AKHAR National level letter writing competition.MrsSonal Lobo promotes and motivates the students about philately knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2018<u>ANTONIO\u2019S\u2019 Art Club<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students actively participated in Moscheni Art Fest 2024 where more than 60 artworks created by students were exhibited and won many prizes. Art club organized Drawing competitions on the feast of St Aloysius Gonzaga and Independence Day celebrations.Students created a huge Pookalam on the occasion of Onam festival and won everyone\u2019s appreciation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Student\u2019sAchievements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pradyumna<\/strong>got the1<sup>st<\/sup>place in zonal level Young World painting competition conducted by the Hindu Newspaper and Collage competition organized by Manaswini Hospital.2<sup>nd<\/sup>place in District level Poster competition on world food day andShivaramaKarantPortrait competition.3<sup>rd<\/sup> place in Pencil Sketch organized by CanaraPU College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Manish Raj<\/strong> gotthe1<sup>st<\/sup>&nbsp; place in Soap-Carving competition in the pre unique organized by St Aloysius&nbsp; PU&nbsp; College and Soap-Carving competition organized by SharadaPU College.&nbsp; 2<sup>nd<\/sup> place in indigenous doll making competition organized at Kalotsava district level competition.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pradyumna and Sushmitha<\/strong> got the1<sup>st<\/sup>place in ChinnaraChilipili Collage Competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sushmitha and Neelamma<\/strong>bagged the 1<sup>st<\/sup> place in RangoliCompetition, <strong>Shane and Winston<\/strong> got the 1<sup>st<\/sup>place in Flower Arrangement competition organized by Padua PU College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Shwetha and Drithi<\/strong> secured the1<sup>st<\/sup>place in Rangoli competition, <strong>Drithi and Delisha<\/strong> gotthe1<sup>st<\/sup>&nbsp; place in collage competition organized by SharadaVidyalaya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sameeksha<\/strong>is the special achiever in Art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr John Chandran trains, guides and motivates young artists, to explore their hidden artistic and<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>creative ability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>\u2018ALOYSIAN\u2019 L.T.S. (Leadership Training Service)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During regular meeting club members are involved in activities like debate, extempore, group discussion etc. Various topics are discussed to boost the soft skills of the students.&nbsp; Throughout the year Cabinet members take the responsibility to maintain discipline and cleanliness of the school.&nbsp; An outlook on leadership is brought about by MrsFelcyPinto and MrsSunithaPais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2018<u>PANDURANGA PAI\u2019 Eco Club<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The club has celebrated \u201cEnvironment Day\u201d in the school.&nbsp; A tree plantation drive was organized as a part of VanaMahotsava.Collage-making competition was conducted on the theme &#8220;Our Land, Our Future&#8221;.Cleanliness drive and cleaning of pots was conducted in the school campus.&nbsp; Students were taken to the biotechnology and zoology labof St Aloysius College,visitedAlvana,participated in eco expo exhibition held at St Aloysius P. U. College.&nbsp; Fostering a deeper connection with nature a bird- watching program was conducted at our campus. Club members are guided by Mrs Edna Mascarenhas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>\u2018IGNATIAN\u2019 Gavel Club<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All programs of the school are hosted by the members of Gavel club.&nbsp; SherlynMascarenhas won 2<sup>nd<\/sup>place in the elocutionat Padua PU College and essay writing district level competition organized by Karnataka Science Academy.&nbsp; Initha and Khushi bagged 2<sup>nd<\/sup>place in essay writing at Sharada PU College. In the Pre Unique organized by St Aloysius PU college Ayman Khan won 2<sup>nd<\/sup>place in Hindi Memory game and Stand-up comedy.&nbsp; AdshaDsouzabagged 3<sup>rd<\/sup> place in twist a tale.&nbsp; Theclub is guided by MrsJovitaDSouza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>\u2018GONZAGA\u2019 Consumer Club<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Basic Information about Consumer Protection Act, MRP,hallmark, adulterant added in the foods, about perishable and non-perishable foods were explained. Quiz was conducted and food adulteration experiment was done during meetings.Miss Ivy Anjali DSouza co-ordinates the club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>\u2018ETHEL PRABHU\u2019 Quiz Club<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The club is functioning under the guidance of MrsKris Evert DSouza and Mrs Edna Mascarenhas. MohdFaheezSheeyan and Arwin Neil Dsouza won the 1<sup>st<\/sup> place in quiz held at &nbsp;Padua P. U college. Students participated in various inter school competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>\u2018STEVE JOBS\u2019&nbsp; I.T Club<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Coding, video editing and animation are regularly demonstrated.MrPratheekRamesh, Lecturer of Computer Science at St Aloysius College Deemed to be University conducted a session on \u201cCareers in Animation and IT\u201d.&nbsp; KoushikBhat and Muhammad Hashir bagged 2<sup>nd<\/sup>place in the web designingorganized by Sharada P. U. College.&nbsp; ArmanShaik was the finalist in IT Champion organized by Canara PU College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Creative minds of MrsSunithaPais and MrsLinet Mathias, the animators have picturizedtoday\u2019sAnnual Report with videos and clippings and the gifted studentsPrithviSuvarna, ArolSequeira, ArmanShaikand Snithikhave assisted them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>\u2018MELODY\u2019 Choir CLUB<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Melody choir club has been instrumental in setting a spiritual note with apt interactions and prayerful hymns for all school programs.&nbsp; The Club functions under the guidance of MrsRennyVas and MrsMeghanaGalagali.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The club won 1<sup>st<\/sup>place in group singing organized by Padua P.U. College. AyushPremand SherylnMascarenhas bagged 1<sup>st<\/sup>place in duet singing competition \u2018Agnathan 2024\u2019 at St Agnes P.U. College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AyushPrem<\/strong> is the special achiever in singing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>\u2018ST ALOYSIUS\u2019 College Band<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The members of the club displayed band performanceat various school functions and events.&nbsp; Their performance for Mass PT and Mass drill was captivating.&nbsp; The band club is led by bandmasterMr Vijay Olivera.Theclubis co-ordinated by Mr Praveen D. Monteiro<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>\u2018BEATS N STEPS\u2019 Dance Club<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The members of the dance club have added vibrancy to various school events like Gonzaga feast, Loyola feast Teachers&#8217; Day programs.Theboys of theclub secured 1<sup>st<\/sup> placein filmy dance conducted by Padua P.U.College.&nbsp; The members of the club secured 2<sup>nd<\/sup>place in ChinnaraChilipili, conducted by Rotary Mangalore.The club is co-ordinated by MrsShalmaSaldanha and MrsKris Evert DSouza<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>\u2018<\/u><\/strong><strong><u>ANGELO MAFFAI\u2019 Konkani Club<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Encourages students to develop their reading and creative writing skills.The club has organized a multi lingual poetry session for the students.&nbsp; This Club is co-ordinated by MrsFelcyPinto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>\u2018KAIRANNA\u2019 Health Club<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Health training sessions are held for the members. Mr Noel Menezesco-ordinates the club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Electrol Literacy Club (ELC)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per the order from the department, the ELC club has been started in our school from the present academic year with the school cabinet leaders being enrolled as its members.&nbsp; MrsBharathi N.K. is the co-ordinator of the ELC, under whose guidance various competitionsare held as per the circular from the department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This academic year quiz, essay and poster making competitions were conducted at the school level and the selected students participated in the Taluk level.&nbsp; Our quiz team MohdFaheez<br>Sheeyan and Dhruva Y. Shettybagged the first prize and qualified for the district level.&nbsp; The club aims at \u2018Spreading awareness regarding the importance of voting\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Guitar &amp; Keyboard<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The music teacher Mr Vijay Moras guides our students in the learning of instruments like Guitar &amp; Keyboard along with musical notations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our students excelled in various co-curricular activities and won the Overall Championship at\u2018Sparkle\u2019 inter school competition organized by Padua P.U. College and first runner up at \u201cSharada ACADEXPO 2024\u201d organized by Sharada P.U. College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Special Achievers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>&nbsp;1.Master&nbsp; Grahith G. Prabhu <\/u><\/strong>of class 10D <strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His&nbsp; achievements in the year 2024 were&nbsp; :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>5 Gold and individual champion in District Level.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 Gold, 1 Bronze and 1 Bronze in Medley Relay held at Basavanagudi, Bangalore and selected for the Nationals.
