All the students assembled in the school assembly ground for the flag-hoisting ceremony. The dignitaries, Rev. Fr. William Marcel Rodrigues SJ, Rev. Fr. Johnson Pinto SJ, the Headmaster, Mr .Lancy D\u2019Souza,&nbsp; The Assistant Headmaster, Mrs. Jasmine&nbsp; Dsouza, PTA vice president hoisted the National Flag. The ceremony filled the hearts of the students with pride and patriotism. Following the flag-hoisting ceremony, the students gathered in the High School Hall for a cultural programme. The dignitaries were escorted to the hall by the school band. The programme began with a soulful rendition of \u2018Vande Mataram\u2019 by the members of the Melody Club. The students presented patriotic songs that beautifully expressed their love for the nation. The patriotic spirit continued to fill the air through the energetic and rhythmic performance by the school band. The prize distribution ceremony was then conducted by Miss. Natasha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. William Marcel Rodrigues SJ, addressed the gathering with an inspiring message. He reminded the students that education is meant to open our minds and help us gradually become better human beings. He encouraged them to read, gain knowledge and freely share it with others. He also urged everyone to care for nature and to respect and care for parents, teachers and elders. He emphasised that such responsible actions truly reflect the meaning of Independence. The Headmaster, Rev. Fr. Johnson Pinto SJ, delivered an inspiring message on the importance of responsibility. He reminded the students that freedom comes with responsibility and urged them to understand their duties and carry them out sincerely. He encouraged everyone to become responsible citizens by fulfilling their responsibilities towards the nation and society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The programme was coordinated by Mr. Praveen Monteiro. Siona of Grade 8 welcomed the gathering, while Cian proposed the vote of thanks. Akshaj of Grade 9 compered the programme with confidence and enthusiasm.
